MOBILE | OFF-GRID | TRAILER BASED | CABIN

The cabin was to be a destination for the client and his family, 2 adults and 2 children, and was to live in the grounds of his childhood home.

It meant that he and his family could get away from London, whilst working remotely, and keep an eye on his elderly parents.

The final location of the cabin was a field next to the parent's house. It is on the site of a Bronze age settlement, which being protected by Historic England meant that a permanent building wasn't possible.

The cabin sleeps four people (1 king + 2 single bunks)

There is an onboard plumbing system with 95 litre water tank + outdoor shower + kitchen sink and taps.

A Solar panel electrical system delivering 240V with domestic lighting and sockets.

Including fitted sofa with dining table + seating area for up to 6 people.

With reclaimed windows, door, sink, taps, floor, copper, and ironmongery.

It is a highly performing, fully insulated building design, with sealed vapour barrier envelope and double glazing.

Designed and hand built in Cornwall.

Delivered 300 miles away via lorry and low loader.
